Apps and tools
Each app does one job in the place you already work: a PDF, a chat window, a phone or Shopify admin. Heavier document work, such as bank statement analysis, fraud detection and identity checks, runs as Paperwork tools in the dashboard and over the API.
Beyond the apps
When you need more than one task, or the checks inside your own product.
Frequently asked questions
Have a question that is not here?
Do I need a Paperwork account?
You can use PDF Editor and the free Privacy Mask plan without an account. The mobile app uses a Paperwork login. The Shopify app opens through your store’s admin, and Privacy Mask Pro uses Google sign-in.
How do I choose between PDF Editor and Privacy Mask?
Use PDF Editor to change text, images, forms or pages in a PDF. Use Privacy Mask to hide sensitive data in prompts or files before sharing them with an AI chat; it also handles Office files, tables and images.
What should I prepare for a first test?
Choose a typical document and a harder example, such as a scan or a complex layout, and decide which fields or changes you expect. For passport NFC, have a physical ePassport and an NFC-capable phone ready.
When should I use the API instead of an app?
Use an app for work you carry out yourself. Use the API when your system needs to submit documents and use the results automatically. Choose the tool by the checks and output your workflow needs.
Can we add mobile document capture to an existing app?
Yes. The capture modules behind the Paperwork app can be integrated into your own mobile app as a project. Share your platform, the documents you need to capture and where the extracted data should go.
