Agreement

These terms govern your use of Paperwork's document processing services. By using our API or dashboard, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, do not use our services.

Services

Paperwork provides:

  • Document OCR and data extraction
  • Emirates ID verification (OCR and NFC)
  • Bank statement parsing
  • Trade license extraction
  • Fraud detection
  • REST API access
  • Mobile SDK for iOS and Android

Account

  • You need an account to use our services
  • Provide accurate company and contact information
  • Keep your API keys secure
  • One account per legal entity
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Process documents you do not have rights to
  • Use services for money laundering or fraud
  • Exceed your plan's rate limits
  • Reverse engineer our models or algorithms
  • Resell our services without written agreement
  • Upload malware or malicious content
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Use automated tools to scrape or stress-test our systems

Pricing

  • Prices on paperwork.to/pricing
  • Billed monthly or annually in USD
  • Payment via Stripe
  • 30-day notice for price changes
  • Overages billed at published rates
  • No refunds for partial months

API and Rate Limits

  • Rate limits depend on your plan
  • Exceeding limits returns 429 errors
  • Persistent abuse may result in suspension
  • We may adjust limits with 14-day notice
  • No SLA guarantees for free tier

Your Data

  • You own your documents and extracted data
  • You grant us a license to process your documents
  • We do not train models on your data
  • Export your data anytime via API
  • Data deleted 30 days after account closure

Our IP

Paperwork owns all rights to our services, including software, models, algorithms, documentation, and brand. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

Uptime

We target 99.9% uptime for paid plans. Downtime excludes:

  • Scheduled maintenance (notified 48h in advance)
  • Force majeure events
  • Your network or integration issues
  • Third-party service outages

Termination

  • Cancel anytime from dashboard
  • We may suspend for violations without notice
  • We may terminate with 30-day notice for any reason
  • On termination: access ends, data deleted in 30 days
  • Outstanding fees remain due

Disclaimers

SERVICES PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY.

  • AI extraction may contain errors - verify results
  • We do not guarantee regulatory compliance
  • You are responsible for your use of extracted data
  • We are not liable for decisions based on our output

Liability

Our liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months before the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or data loss beyond what we can recover.

Indemnification

You indemnify Paperwork against claims arising from your use of the services, your documents, or your violation of these terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by UAE law. Disputes resolved in Dubai courts. DIFC and ADGM courts excluded unless agreed in writing.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes notified via email 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
