Document AI for Healthcare

Read patient IDs at registration and turn intake forms into structured data with Document Automation scenarios. Staff review anything that does not match.

How a registration team uses it

1

Patient arrives

The front desk scans the ID and the forms, or the patient sends them before the visit.

2

Fields are read

Names, numbers and dates are extracted into the fields your system expects.

3

Rules check them

Expiry dates, required fields and names across documents are checked.

4

Staff confirm

Clear records go straight through. Mismatches wait for a person in the review queue.

Where it helps

Registration

Both sides of an Emirates ID read into fields, including the MRZ lines.

Expired IDs

Expired cards are flagged, and so are those that expire within 30 days.

Name matching

The name on the ID compared with the form. Differing names go to review, not to rejection.

Mixed packages

A single PDF holding several documents is split, and each part is classified.

Email intake

Referrals forwarded to a scenario inbox are processed like files sent over the API.

Your own fields

Name the fields you need and describe them in plain words. No fixed form template.

What it does not do

Paperwork does not connect to patient record systems, read clinical notes or certify regulatory compliance. It reads IDs and forms and returns JSON over the API. There is no face match or liveness check.

Frequently asked questions

Have a question that is not here?

Which patient IDs can it read?

Emirates ID with its own checks: the 784 format, the checksum, a plausible birth year and expiry. Passports are read through a Document Automation scenario.

Can we use different fields for different intake forms?

Yes. Set the fields and descriptions in a Document Automation scenario for each workflow. Extracted values include page references and source text where available.

Can it run on our own servers?

Yes. With a software license the platform is deployed on your infrastructure.

Can staff review every registration package?

Yes. A Document Automation scenario can require review for every run. You can instead configure review for discrepancies or missing information as your registration process requires.

What should we prepare for an intake-form pilot?

Bring examples of each form layout, the fields your registration system needs and a few incomplete or mismatched packages. Use those examples to check extraction and decide what staff should review.

Try it on your registration documents

Bring sample IDs and forms and see the fields your system would receive.
