Emirates ID Verification
Read both sides of an Emirates ID, the UAE national identity card, into structured data and check it in the same call: ID number format, checksum, birth year and expiry, each with its own result.
What you get
Identity and card details
Name, ID number, nationality, gender, date of birth, issue and expiry dates, card number, occupation, employer, issuing place and the three MRZ lines.
Front and back together
Send one or two files as photos, scans or a PDF. The sides are detected for you and merged into one record.
Number checks
The 784 format, the checksum digit, the country code and a plausible birth year inside the ID number, each returned as a pass or fail with a message.
Expiry warnings
Expired cards are flagged, and so are cards that expire within 30 days, with the number of days left.
OCR plus AI
Google Vision reads the card and an AI model maps the text to the right fields, so you get clean values instead of raw OCR text.
Checked for edits
Run the same card through Fraud Detection to check for signs of tampering, with findings and page evidence where available.

Send the card images or their URLs over the REST API with an API key, or upload them in the dashboard. The response holds the fields, the validation result and every check.

What is validated?
The 784 format of the ID number, its checksum digit, the country code and a plausible birth year, plus whether the card is expired or expires within 30 days. Each check comes back as its own pass or fail.
Should we upload both sides in the same request?
Send both sides together when you need a complete record. The tool detects and combines them; a single side is accepted when it contains the fields you need.
Which files can I send?

Can it tell if a card was edited?
Yes, with Fraud Detection, which has its own Emirates ID rules and checks the file for edits.
