Does it read the Emirates ID via NFC chip or OCR?

OCR. Emirates ID is verified from the front and back image with validation checks against the ICA database — the chip is not read over NFC. Passport verification does support NFC chip reading in addition to OCR.

What fields are extracted?

Full name in Arabic and English, the 15-digit ID number, date of birth, nationality, gender, card expiry, and where present the residential address and sponsor information.

Does it do face matching and liveness?

Yes. A selfie can be compared to the card photo with a confidence score, and passive and active liveness detection guard against spoofing with photos or screens.

How fast is a verification?
