What you get

API keys

Keys for your organization, sent as a Bearer token. One key works for every tool you have enabled.

Files or links

PDFs and images, plus Excel, CSV and email files for document scenarios. Upload or pass HTTPS links; bank statements are read from your Paperwork file storage.

Signed webhooks

Fraud detection and document automation jobs post their result to your URL with an HMAC signature, and retry if your endpoint is down.

Status endpoints

Every background job has a status URL you can poll, with or without a webhook.

Dashboard

The same tools in a web dashboard for testing, manual reviews and teams that are not integrated yet.

Have a question that is not here?

How do we authenticate?

With an API key sent as a Bearer token. Keys start with sk-paperwork- and are created per organization in the dashboard.

Do we have to wait for long jobs?

No. Long jobs run in the background and return a job ID at once. Poll the status endpoint, or, for fraud detection and document automation, pass a webhook URL and secret and the signed result is posted to you.

Which files can we send?

Supported formats depend on the tool. Bank Statement Analysis and Invoice Processing accept PDFs. Fraud Detection and Emirates ID Verification also accept images. Document Automation supports PDFs, images, spreadsheets, CSV, text and email files. See each endpoint for upload and file-link requirements.

Can we use the dashboard while an integration is being built?

Yes. Your operations team can run checks and review results in the dashboard while developers connect the API. Use representative files there to understand the output your integration needs to handle.

What if a result webhook does not reach us?

Keep the job ID and query its status to retrieve the result. Fraud Detection and Document Automation also retry failed webhook deliveries. Your integration can use both delivery methods.
