What gets checked
Trade license data
License number, trade and legal name, emirate, legal type, issue and expiry dates, activities, members and partners.
Issuing authority
Licenses from Dubai DET, Sharjah SEDD, Ajman DED and several free zones are confirmed through their QR code; DIFC and Abu Dhabi licenses through registry search.
Emirates ID fields
Name, ID number, nationality, gender, dates of birth, issue and expiry, card number, occupation, employer and the MRZ lines.
Number checks
The 784 ID format, the checksum digit, the country code and a plausible birth year, each returned as its own pass or fail.
Expiry
Emirates ID checks flag expired cards and cards due to expire within 30 days, with the number of days remaining.
Tampering
Run the same files through Fraud Detection to check Emirates IDs and trade licenses for edits.

How should we prepare a trade license for verification?
Send a readable copy with the license number and any QR code intact. Supported authorities are checked through the QR code or registry search, and the result records the verification outcome.

Can we compare documents in an onboarding package?
Yes. A configured Document Automation scenario can compare fields across an ID, application form and other documents, with review routing for the results you choose.
Can it detect edited IDs and licenses?
Use Fraud Detection on the same files. It has its own rules for Emirates IDs and trade licenses.
